Graswald AI Founder Julius Harling Recognised Among Top 3 Young European Entrepreneurs at the Inaugural BAD1 Awards

22 June 2026 - Graswald AI founder and chief executive officer Julius Harling has been recognised among the Top 3 Young European Entrepreneurs at the first-ever BAD1 Awards, held in Berlin on 12 June 2026. The award, decided by an independent jury, celebrates the founders building Europe's next generation of companies.
The inaugural BAD1 Conference, a campaign initiated by Julian Teicke, brought together founders, operators, and investors at The Delta in Berlin. The day opened with a keynote from former US Vice President Al Gore, who challenged the room with a single question that set the tone for the event: is Europe cooked?
Harling took up the question on the main stage, joining fellow founders Moritz Holländer (Almedia) and Magnus Grünewald (Lyceum) for a panel on where Europe already leads and what it will take to build from here. The discussion examined the continent's strengths in talent, design, and applied technology, and the steps needed to turn that into globally competitive companies.
Julius Harling "The question Al Gore put to the room is one we take seriously, and I think the answer is clearly no," said Julius Harling, founder and CEO of Graswald AI. "The ambition in that room showed a continent that is building, not declining. I am grateful to be counted among it, and grateful to Julian Teicke and the BAD1 team for creating the space for that conversation. At Graswald AI we are proving that world-class infrastructure for the global fashion industry can be built from Europe."
The recognition comes during a period of growth for Graswald AI, which over the past year has onboarded more than 50 enterprise fashion brands to its AI production platform. The company helps fashion teams close the gap between the products that receive on-model imagery and the long tail that traditionally launches with packshots or ghost mannequins, generating studio-quality on-model imagery from inputs brands already have, without additional shoots.
Graswald AI extended its thanks to Julian Teicke and Patrick Andrae, and to the wider BAD1 team, for hosting the event.
